ZImbabwe v Bangladesh

Bangladesh in Zimbabwe, 2003-04

John Ward
15-Apr-2005
At Harare, March 12, 2004. Zimbabwe won by 14 runs. Toss: Zimbabwe.
After their shock defeat, Zimbabwe's confidence had evaporated like morning dew, and their top order collapsed to 79 for five. Streak and Ervine began the recovery towards a competitive total, which might have been higher had not the powerful Blignaut been wasted at No. 9. When Bangladesh batted, Streak bowled his usual incisive opening spell, but faced problems when his new-ball partner Blignaut was first erratic, and then limped off. But Streak and Price were frugal enough and Bangladesh fell steadily behind the required rate. Their hopes expired in the 46th over, when Streak brilliantly ran out Mohammad Rafique. He finished with 45 runs, four wickets and two catches.
Man of the Match: H. H. Streak.
