South Africa v Bangladesh

At Kimberley, October 9, 2002 (day/night)

15-Apr-2004
At Kimberley, October 9, 2002 (day/night). South Africa won by seven wickets. Toss: Bangladesh. One-day international debuts: A. G. Prince; Anwar Hossain Monir, Rafiqul Islam.
South Africa completed a clean sweep with an easy, unremarkable win. Habibul Bashar, playing his first game of the series, hit a determined half-century, but otherwise it was another poor batting effort. Pollock, coming on first-change, mopped up with four for 24, and South Africa needed just 26 overs to canter home. Their reply was very much a team effort: van Jaarsveld, who had earlier taken a wicket with his only ball in one-day internationals, top-scored with a rapid 42 after the openers fell to the young bowlers, Tapash Baisya and Talha Jubair. When the winning runs came, Rhodes, playing in his 234th one-day international, was batting with Ashwell Prince, making his debut.
Man of the Match: S. M. Pollock. Attendance: 3,949.
Man of the Series: H. H. Gibbs.
