At Delhi, March 19, 2010. Chennai Super Kings won by five wickets. ‡Delhi Daredevils 185-6 (20 overs) (V. Sehwag 74, M. Manhas 32*); Chennai Super Kings 190-5 (19.1 overs) (M. L. Hayden 93, S. K. Raina 49*). MoM: M. L. Hayden.
Virender Sehwag bolted out of the blocks with 74 from 38 balls - ten fours and three sixes - only to be stopped by a spectacular one-handed overhead catch by Justin Kemp at long-off. Then Matthew Hayden fashioned an equally belligerent response, utilising the much-hyped Mongoose bat's supposed extra power as he zipped to 93 from just 43 deliveries, with nine fours and seven sixes.
