At Darwin, August 6, 2003. Australia won by 112 runs. Toss: Australia.
Australia predictably swept the one-day series 3-0 with another convincing victory. Their sizable total owed much to Ponting's 14th one-day century, which peculiarly contained four sixes but only two fours. It was his 12th international century inside 12 months. Ponting and Bevan added 127 for the fifth wicket after Mohammad Rafiq, the left-arm spinner who was puzzlingly overlooked for the Test matches, dismissed both openers, and Martyn - the only Darwin-born player to have represented Australia - managed only a single in front of his home crowd. Australia's total proved more than enough as Bangladesh slumped again. Alok Kapali dropped anchor, grafting to 49, but there was no comeback from 36 for five as the others struggled against Harvey's patent, potent mixture of slower balls and swinging yorkers.
